范文如下:

Do advertisementscontribute to people's unhappiness and dissatisfaction?

“Impossible is nothing.” Whenever this advertisement slogan of Adidas hits mymind, I feel refreshed both physically and mentally. In fact, not only I butalso the generation of my age is inspired by this simple statement. We, theyouth, believe that such an advertisement as Adidas attributes to the creditsof our life.

Advertisements never step into people’s unhappiness and dissatisfaction.Instead, they are responsible for adding various ingredients for people totaste each single aspect of life.

The famous Hollywood superstar Jackie Chan once conducted a far-reachingadvertisement. He intends to call for people to take care of wild animals. Someof the following segments of the advertisement imprint my thought: The rhino iskilled for its horn; the elephant is killed for its ivory; the bear is killedfor its paw and gall bladder; the turtle is killed for its shell while thetiger is killed for its bone and skin. When these occur to me, I couldn’t helpconsidering: had people not desired to pursue profits and vanity, those pooranimals would have survived. For the sake of our nature and future generations,it is the right time that people stopped buying wild animals’ by-products.Consequently, many regions start to enforce the regulations of punishing thosesellers and buyers of wild animal by-products.

From Jackie Chan’s advertisement, I am satisfied by the above effect of asuperstar on people’s awareness of caring for the nature. Also I do feel thehappiness that those like-minded people are determined to fight against thewrong deeds towards our nature. A world that is filled with materialism needssuch advertisements to correct people’s behavior to pursue true happiness and satisfaction. That is: living harmoniously with our mother nature.

Apart from Jackie Chan’s example, I’d like to refer to another advertisementthat brings about happiness to people. It is the online chatting tool named QQwith its slogan “I am online”. Following its advertisement, I am immersed intothe bustle daily life that is lack of communication between friends, familiesand colleagues. The sentence “I am online” said by a mother in theadvertisement empowers me with the happiness that heart- to- heartcommunications are with us anywhere and anytime.

The above two cases strengthen my point once more: advertisements in theirnature contribute to people's happiness and satisfaction. Although our sensesof happiness and satisfaction are deeply influenced by all sorts ofadvertisements, it should be ourselves who master the gears of our mind todistinguish happiness and satisfaction from their downsides.

范文2:

When manythink that advertisements make people dissatisfied and disappointed, I believeadvertisements actually give people something beyond reality and amaze themwith bright images of future. Ads sometimes even promote valuablepersonalities, such as ads of movies and novels.

To startwith, I would like to introduce the story of IBM. Thomas Watson, Sr., thefounder of IBM, set up a business empire which dominated the market forpunch-card tabulators. When Thomas Watson, Jr., first joined the company, hisvision told him that the future of IBM lay in digital computers. However, therewere only about a dozen computers in the entire world at the time. While manyof IBM technical experts and his father objected to his opinion, he believed inhimself and carried out his ambition by making the mainframe computers the coreproduct of IBM. In order to stimulate people's awareness of the amazing futureof computers, Jr. introduced his project by presenting advertisements withimaginative images of future society under domination of computers. Throughthose creative advertisements, people started to realize the huge potential ofcomputers and went crazy with computers. Without advertisements, Jr. might notbe able to succeed in commercializing computer products. Had Jr. not made gooduse of advertisements, we would not have had a wonderful 21stcentury with personal computers helping us with all kinds of works andentertaining the mainstream.

Moreover, thestory of movie Titanic presents us a good example to illustrate my viewpoint. BeforeTitanic was showed, the director of Titanic, Cameron and his teammates soughtway to popularize their masterpiece. They successfully used advertisements tospread the value shown in the movie, such as the priceless friendship and love.In addition, these ads contained many beautiful scenes in order to attractpeople's nerves. Lately, the Titanic was shown again to audience as the 100anniversary of Titanic was approaching. Similarly, ads of Titanic evoked us thesentimental and remarkable story of Jack and Rose on the first hand. In a word, with the help of those ads, Titanic successfully swept through the globe.

From theabove two examples tell, instead of dissatisfying people, advertisements canactually bring us a different perspective towards reality and promote valuablecharacteristics through encouraging words and images. Advertisements, in fact, make the world more colorful and imaginary.
